Marketing Chapter 1 Test Review

When studying for the upcoming chapter test, be sure to review all objectives and key terms as well as any text that is highlighted or in bold print. Pay close attention to the following:

  • Understand the marketing concept.
  • Define the concept of market.
  • Explain goods and services.
  • Understand the seven marketing functions.
  • Explain the five economic utilities (and know which of the five is not directly related to marketing).
  • Explain the economic benefits of marketing
  • Know the difference between a consumer & a customer.
  • Differentiate between an industrial and a consumer market.
  • List the components and explain the concept of the marketing mix
  • Define customer profile.
Be sure to bring your chapter notes and a #2 pencil with you to class on Thursday, 9/21 for this test.
